Credit Assurance in four steps.
Step 1. Order Credit Assurance
Setup your free myHorizon account and access your Credit Assurance package. Your myHorizon account will act as your dashboard for managing all aspects of Credit Assurance including your 3-bureau credit report, dispute services, and credit monitoring.
Step 2. Credit monitoring activation
Upon ordering Credit Assurance, your 12 months of credit monitoring protection from TransUnion will be activated. Inaccurate and fraudulent activity can negatively impact your credit score. React quickly by receiving email and text alerts when activity is detected on your credit report.
Step 3. Review your report
Access your 3-bureau credit report through your myHorizon account 45 days after your Chapter 7 discharge or Chapter 13 confirmation. An email will be sent alerting you the report is ready. View the Report online or request a printed version. Review your report for accuracy. If all the information is correct, no further action is needed. Print a copy of the report for your records.
Step 4. Dispute all inaccuracies
If you find any inaccuracies, follow the dispute instructions provided with your report. A credit advocate will assist you with your report and dispute incorrect items with the bureaus on your behalf, making sure your credit report accurately reflects your bankruptcy.
